The College continues to be considered among the best Secondary schools on the Sunshine Coast and beyond, and is in high demand by parents and carers across the region. </p> <p class="ms-rteElement-P">Siena Catholic College seeks to develop the whole person - the spiritual, intellectual, physical, social and emotional – so that each student can realise their God-given potential. All members of our school community offer talents, gifts and skills bestowed upon them by God, to be used in the service of the Church in spreading the Good News: that Jesus lived, died and rose again so that we all may have eternal life. The College is unwaveringly committed to a Catholic-Christian philosophy of education which defines all that we do in College life, and is based firmly in the Gospel values of love for one another, compassion and mercy. </p> <p class="ms-rteElement-P">Selecting a Secondary school for your child is an important and, at times, difficult decision. 'Tradie for a Day' Fundraiserhttp://www.siena.qld.edu.au/news-and-events/Pages/Tradies-take-over-for-Fundraiser.aspx'Tradie for a Day' Fundraiser<p>​​​Students and Staff donned flannos, high-vis shirts, hard hats and toolbelts to raise money for our much-loved ITD, Graphics and Construction teacher Mr John Blunden.  Mr Blunden sustained severe life altering injuries in a mountain bike accident early in the term. </p><p>In a show of support the 'Tradie for a Day' casual dress day was created with the aim of raising $10,000 to support John and his family.  In true Siena Community spirit, the goal was well and truly smashed with the total exceeding $15,500!  Not only did donations come from staff and students at Siena but past staff members, past families, neighbouring school staff members, bus drivers and local community members. A tribute to the awesome man John Blunden is! <br></p><div>We thank each and everyone of you for what has been a day of extra​ordinary moments. World Record Attempt for Year 11 Studenthttp://www.siena.qld.edu.au/news-and-events/Pages/World-Record-Attempt-for-Year-11-Student.aspxWorld Record Attempt for Year 11 Student<div>​​​​​</div><div>​Year 11 student Liam Morey will attempt to create a World Record when he becomes the youngest pilot to circumnavigate Australia starting on 8 September. </div><div><br>Liam will fly a Bristell Light Sport Aircraft over 16,000km around Australia making some 30 stops along the way over a three-week period.
