On Friday 16 March, our college community took a stand together to celebrate the eighth National Day of Action (NDA) against Bullying and Violence with 'Crazy Hair Day'.
The day wasn't just about students and staff wearing a crazy or unusual hair style for the day, it was about acknowledging equality and justice for everyone despite their gender, race, ability and social class. As a community, we are united in making a stand against bullying by treating each other respectfully despite our differences.
Our students and what we were doing within our Siena Community for NDA were showcased on WIN News Sunshine Coast and Nine News Sunshine Coast as part of their reports on NDA. Our Facebook page has links to the news posts.
God of all cultures, God of all people, help us not to label anyone inferior or second-class. Help us overcome our attitudes of superiority and oppression. May we broaden our vision and widen our tents so that plurality and diversity determine who we are: people called and committed to a world united in justice and peace, now and forever. Amen
