On Saturday 28 October, 50 Siena students made their way to Currimundi to participate in the Disabled Surfers Association event. It was a morning full of energy and positive 'stoke', with our students joining one hundred other volunteers to assist a large number of participants to get in the water and get surfing!
It is an amazing experience for all and it is always heartening to see our great young people making a positive difference in the community.
Congratulations to Chloe (Year 7) who won the lucky door prize for volunteers - one of Joel Parkinson's surfboards!!!A very big thank you to Pat Toohey, Nathan Clohesy and Leesa O'Brien who attended as staff to make the morning possible.
Next event is at Maroochydore towards the end of November.
